Hey guys, it’s Exordium Clash here, back again with a smaller summary of my latest video about the P.E.K.K.A Zap Bait Deck and a commentated guide to go with it! Hope you all enjoy!

P.E.K.K.A Zap Bait Deck

Substitutes:

• Ice Wizard – Guards
• Princess – Arrows/Log
• Miner – Goblin Barrel (adds to bait mechanic)

General Gameplan:

This Deck relies on the Pekka as the only heavy troop. You need to use it as an anchor point, around which to base many of your other in-game moves and decisions upon. You can use the P.E.K.K.A defensively and offensively, but due to the diversity of the Decks other Cards you are able to switch things up a little. For example, a double-lane split using Minion Horde on one lane and SKArmy on the other is something I have seen used often, and it is very effective. This will confuse and ‘frighten’ your opponent into making unreasoned moves against you, and can be hilariously powerful.

Another push option is the Miner and Princess/Musketeer/Ice Wizard. Combining the Miner with any sort of offensive ranged Card works very well, especially in a Deck well-suited and tailored for two types of pushes. Each troop named here will create a different effect and bait a different counter, and as you develop your own play with the Deck decisions will be much more knowledge supported and cunning. These pushes are cheap, yet can provide huge breaks against your enemy in terms of damage dealt!

Another pushing option involves the P.E.K.K.A. She can be used during the main section of the battle, but my personal advice is to save her for the final minute, as this is the time you can dominate using split-lane pushes and heavier pushing armies. Some examples include P.E.K.K.A, Musketeer, Ice Wizard on one lane, while doing a subtle but incredible powerful Miner and Princess combo on the other. This will mean your enemy is inclined into defending against the more intimidating P.E.K.K.A, but you can deal huge chunks of damage on the Miner side! It is a devastating tactic and almost always works!

There are several other combinations you can use when pushing using the P.E.K.K.A. Since she is a much more expensive Card, you should always drop her behind the bridge. When using Pekka defensively, make sure you take into account the deploy time and relatively slow hit speed, for example against quick units such as the Hog, and give the Pekka some additional reaction time so that you can deal maximum damage. This means earlier deployments and better placement. Blocking the Hog as soon as it is dropped is a great strategy.

Other defensive methods or tricks should be used too. For example, I personally would stick to always cheaply countering the Hog or other tanks using your cycle units, such as the Ice Wizard and Skeleton Army, but always be wary and on the lookout for a Log. HogLog can devastate this Deck, so make sure you drop counters after it is clear your enemy is not sending one in. Ice Spirit is not as prominent a threat, but sometimes it can be beneficial to let the Tower take the stun to allow your small units to retain health and counter-push!

There is one more type of P.E.K.K.A push – the single-lane power push. This will reply on a mix of almost all of your Cards, and can be perfect in situations where you have the Elixir advantage. It can also be used to clutch Towers at the last minute! Use your P.E.K.K.A and Miner to target the Tower primarily, but also to tank. Then you can use Minion Horde, Musketeer and Ice Wizard to reinforce these win conditions. It can even claim 3 Crowns.

P.E.K.K.A Tips:

• Try and restrain from using P.E.K.K.A defensively, unless against Giants or any other units with higher HP, since it is not ideal. This means your counter-pushes will be more effective.
• Do not place P.E.K.K.A at the bridge, unless it is overtime or you have a perfect counter push.
• Obviously, never use P.E.K.K.A as a solo troop – it won’t work. P.E.K.K.A requires a range of backup so that it is able to wreak havoc on Towers, or just tank.

Conclusion:

This Deck is strong but can only be mastered through lots of practise and experimentation. Use it quick, as it is currently anti-meta but may not be soon!
