گت بلاگز Arena 8 Hog Trifecta Fireball Deck – Challenge Winning Deck

Hello Clashers! KairosTime here, with another variation of the Hog Trifecta deck that uses the Fireball instead of the Poison! This deck has proven to win the 12th round of a challenge by my clanmate Collin Neff, showing that this deck has what it takes to go all the way if you master it!

Hog Trifecta Fireball Deck for Arena 8+

Some notes on Trifecta

You’ll notice that this deck uses the Ice Spirit instead of the Elixir Pump. This is a big change because it removes your ability to accrue elixir over a long time but by using the Ice Spirit, you will constantly be on the move, looking to make defenses in to offenses, and to use offense as one of your best defenses.

Another difference is the switch from Poison to Fireball. In my opinion, Poison is one of the strongest cards in the game because of how it slows enemy troops while dealing a great deal of damage over time. That being said, this deck isn’t about damage over time, but about catching your opponent off guard with great pushes. The Fireball adds another aspect of surprise to the deck which is why it is a better option for this deck.

Because Trifecta has been a popular combination for such a long time, people are very good at anticipating your next move. Because of that, you need to try to catch your opponent off guard if you’re going to reach the full potential that this deck has.

Catching your opponent off guard:

  • Hog Rider + Ice Spirit – Place your Ice Spirit first and your Hog Rider after in the tile furthest to the side and as close to the river as you can. If you are quick enough, the Ice Spirit will help you pull off a Hog Push which will make your Hog Rider less likely to be pulled by defensive towers. This combo is a great one because the Ice Spirit will freeze defending troops, allowing your Hog Rider easy access to the tower.
  • Hog Rider + Goblins – This is one of the most common pushes people make with the Hog Rider so it won’t catch your opponent off guard unless they don’t have the Elixir to stop this push. Try to not use this push a ton unless you know your opponent doesn’t have Zap.
  • Goblin + Valkyrie Push – This is a sneaky move, and it’s very strong! If Goblins are placed directly behind a Valkyrie, they will push her to the enemy tower much faster than she can make it on her own. This forces your opponent to think quick when they’re not used to needing to think quickly in response to the Valkyrie.
  • Hog Rider + Valkyrie Push – The Hog Rider will push the Valkyrie just like the Goblins will if he is placed right behind her. This is a tough setup to counter, but it requires 8 Elixir, so this push is best done after a Valkyrie has defended a push.
  • Hog Rider + Musketeer + Ice Spirit – This is the ideal push if you know your opponent has a defensive tower like the Cannon or Inferno Tower. After your Musketeer has successfully defended against a push, get ready to drop your Hog Rider at the bridge right before she makes it there. Then, place the Ice Spirit behind the Musketeer. Your opponent is most likely going to drop some group of small troops like the guards, minions, or goblins to stop the Musketeer which is why the Ice Spirit is so important. If they don’t, the Ice Spirit will freeze the defensive tower at the perfect time

Deck Matchup

  • Lava Hound – Out of all of the popular matchups, this is definitely one of the hardest decks to counter using this deck, and so I included a replay in the video that shows how to handle this type of deck. The trick is to never push with the Musketeer and use her solely for defense. When your opponent drops the Lava Hound, go for a push on the opposite lane with either the Hog + Ice Spirit or Valk + Goblins. If your opponent successfully defends that push, make another push, but don’t let your opponent get support troops behind their Lava Hound. If you can do this, you can use Zap to clear up Lava Pups, or even the Fireball if you need to.
  • Giant Poison – Also a difficult matchup, but like facing the Lava Hound, the trick is to attack the tower opposite of where your opponent drops their Giant. Really good Giant Poison users will wait to drop their Giant until after you have chosen a lane to push, so be willing to give up on one lane to go for the o ther. In addition, you will want to place your Valkyrie and Musketeer far enough away from each other that they can’t both be Poisoned while defending.
  • Miner Chip Cycle – These decks are becoming more and more popular, and for good reason. The Challenge Winning Replay in the video was against a Miner Chip Cycle deck that included the Inferno Tower. The best way to deal with these decks is to make your defense into an offense. Use your Valkyrie to clear up the enemy Miner and counter attack with a Valkyrie Goblin Push. When defending with the Musketeer, pair her up with a Hog Rider and Ice Spirit as I described above to clear defending Mini Pekkas and Inferno Towers.
  • Hog Trifecta – Hog Trifecta duals can often be drawn out. It’s often the person that makes the first mistake that loses, so you’ll have to be careful about every move you make. By alternating between Valkyrie and Hog pushes, you should be able to overcome a fellow Hog Trifecta player. The trick is to learn how your opponent answers to each push, and surprise them with a Fireball when they’re least expecting it. By doing this, you can catch even the strongest Trifecta user off guard and leave with a victory.
  • PEKKA Double Prince – When Hog Trifecta first became popular, so was the PEKKA Double Prince combo! This is a strong combo and can take a lot of skill to defeat, so I included a replay in the video for you to learn from. The trick to defeating this deck is to carefully use your Valkyrie and Ice Spirit or Zap to take stop the Princes and clear them without taking too much damage. Using the Goblins to bait the PEKKA towards the middle of the map is a great way to prevent her from making it to the tower. My favorite move is to place a Cannon just out of aggro reach from the PEKKA, then use the Goblins to bring her within range. By doing this, the PEKKA will make her way to the Cannon, where she’ll be within range of the other tower, who will make quick work of her.

Thanks for taking the time to read this guide! I hope that you have found it helpful. This is KairosTime ticking by! See you in the Arena!
